Anusara Yoga®, developed by master teacher John Friend means “stepping into the current of grace” in Sanskrit.  By aligning with nature we re-connect with the innate joy and freedom that is our inner sanctuary and natural state of being.  Anusara Yoga is a sophisticated, elegant, heart-oriented system of yoga based on sound biomechanics.  It is light-hearted and yet a profound celebration of the human spirit with its deep therapeutic power.  Anusara Yoga weaves together all aspects of yoga into a unified whole.  Based on Universal Principles of Alignment™, this system of hatha yoga ensures safety in the poses and creates balance in body and mind while incorporating an uplifting Tantric philosophy of intrinsic goodness.  As an all-inclusive yoga, Anusara Yoga deeply respects and honors each student’s unique abilities and limitations.
